unique, incredible, Valued

Third Culture Kids (TCKs) is the term used for children who grow up in a country other than their parents’ passport country. We love TCKs! They are global nomads with incredible strengths to give the world. They have wisdom unlike other groups of kids, and we value what they offer our communities. We also recognize they face unique challenges in areas like belonging, grieving loss, and knowing where “home” is.

We are here to serve, through retreats, coaching, mentoring, and debriefing designed for TCKs. We’ll have fun, build connections, and increase their intra- and interpersonal skills, just like we do with other See Beyond services.

Retreats

Come find a place where you belong. Our retreats (online and in-person) are designed to have fun, connect with others like you, learn how to interact with yourself and others better, and have more fun. Did I say fun twice? Check out our Events Page to find out when our next event is taking place.

TCK Debriefing

Just like adults, TCKs have a lot to process! However, their brains do it differently than adults. So, schedule a TCK debriefing to process a significant event, international living, or this past season. Available for children 5 years and up.

Coaching for TCKs

Coaching helps older TCKs have a “process partner” as they think about the future. This partner is someone who has been there and done that, but who primarily listens and asks questions to help the TCK come to their own conclusions, while considering multiple perspectives. Recommended for TCKs 16 years and up.

Personalized Care for TCKs

Adults have ongoing, Personalized Care providers, why not TCKs? Personalized Care is really just a way to combine debriefing, mentoring, and/or coaching, as needed, over a longer period of time. Recommended for TCKs 10 years and up.

mentoring for tcks

Having an adult outside the family to walk alongside you can be invaluable. Mentors will listen to what is desired and, together, TCKs, mentors, and parents can decide what this relationship will include. Recommended for TCKs 10 years and up.

Debriefing, Coaching, Mentoring, and Personalized Care fees for TCKs are

$35/hour non-profit

$50/hour Standard

Consultations with our Child Psychologist

Our child psychologist most commonly meets with parents who have concerns about their TCKs. Maureen Neihart, PsyD, not only has decades of experience with TCKs, but has lived internationally herself and “gets” the pressures of cross-cultural life on families.
